If you glance through the Bible and the Qur’an you may find several points which appear to be exactly the same in both of them, but when you analyse them closely, you realise that there is a difference of ‘chalk and cheese’ between them. Only based on historical details it is difficult for someone who is neither conversant with Christianity or Islam to come to a firm decision as to which of the scriptures is true; however if you verify the relevant passages of both the scriptures against scientific knowledge, you will yourself realize the truth.

Creation of the Universe in Six Days
As per the Bible, in the first book of Genesis in Chapter One, the universe was created in six days and each day is defined as a twenty-four hours period. Even though the Qur’an mentions that the universe was created in six ‘Ayyaams’, ‘Ayyaam’ is the plural of years; this word has two meanings: firstly, it means a standard twenty-four hours period i.e. a day, and secondly, it also means stage, period or epoch which is a very long period of time.

When the Qur’an mentions that the universe was created in six ‘Ayyaams’, it refers to the creation of the heavens and the earth in six long periods or epochs; scientists have no objection to this statement. The creation of the universe has taken billions of years, which proves false or contradicts the concept of the Bible which states that the creation of the Universe took six days of twenty-four hour durations each.

Sun Created After the Day
The Bible says in chapter 1, verses 3-5, of Genesis that the phenomenon of day and night was created on the first day of creation of the Universe by God. The light circulating in the universe is the result of a complex reaction in the stars; these stars were created according to the Bible (Genesis chapter 1 verse 14 to 19) on the fourth day. It is illogical to mention the result that is the light (the phenomenon of day and night) was created on the first day of Creation when the cause or source of the light was created three days later. Moreover the existence of evening and morning as elements of a single day is only conceivable after the creation of the earth and its rotation around the sun. In contrast with the contents of the Bible on this issue, the Qur’an does not give any unscientific sequence of Creation. Hence it is absolutely absurd to say that Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) copied the passages pertaining to the creation of the universe from the Bible but missed out this illogical and fantastic sequence of the Bible.

Creation of the Sun, The Earth and the Moon
According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 9 to 13, the earth was created on the third day, and as per verses 14 to 19, the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day. The earth and the moon emanated, as we know, from their original star, the Sun. Hence to place the creation of the sun and the moon after the creation of the earth is contrary to the established idea about the formation of the solar system.

Vegetation Created on the third day and Sun on the fourth day
According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 11-13, vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as has been stated in the Bible?

If Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) was indeed the author of the Qur’an and had copied its contents from the Bible, how did he manage to avoid the factual errors that the Bible contains? The Qur’an does not contain any statements which are incompatible with scientific facts.

The Sun and the Moon both Emit light
According to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 16 says, "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night".

Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light. This confirms the Qur’anic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. To think that 1400 years ago, Prophet Muhummad (pbuh) corrected these scientific errors in the Bible and then copied such corrected passages in the Qur’an is to think of something impossible.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

As salaamu-alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

The frivolous and malicious complaint by a wicked person from Jhansi by the name Mudassir Ullah Khan who claims himself to be Prophet (Nawuz-billah) is utterly false and meant only to defame Dr. Zakir Naik.
Mr. Mudassir Ullah Khan who not only claims himself to be Prophet (Nawuz-billah) but also says that Qur’an and Hadith are two different religions and there are contradictions in the Qur’an and Hadith. He also says that Islam is most dirtiest, filthiest and notorious religion on earth (Nawuz-billah). (Letter by Mudassir Ullah is attached for your reference).
Some people particularly Raza Academy who have enmity towards Dr. Zakir Naik are among the people who are supporting this lunatic person and spreading false propaganda against Dr. Zakir Naik.
We appeal to all the Muslims and well wishers of Dr. Zakir Naik to pray to Allah (swt) to protect him from such falsehood and give him more strength to continue good work of spreading message of Islam. Aameen!

Jhansi 26/10/2008

Assalamu Alaikum.

Now Dr. Zakir Naik says that humiliation, criticism and defeat has become the fate of Muslims in every corner of the world. And this fate is due to arrogant and greedy Muslims like Dr. Zakir Naik. These are deceivers who say to transform their downfall to a rising one and shamelessly gives lectures and keeps telling that it is the duty of Muslims to tell others whatever verse they know from Qur’an even if it be only ‘Kalma’ (words of oneness of God) which every Muslim knows.

And I am the one explaining Dr. Zakir Naik and his companions continuously since 2005, verses of the Qur’an in detail. I have been sending in writing verse of the Qur’an which can change the downfall of Muslims to a rising one. But Dr. Zakir Naik and his companions are adamant to agree. They have sworn not to agree so that they can exploit the downfall of the Muslims for their own benefit.

If you want that Muslims should change their downfall into a rising one then announce publicly during your 10 day international Islamic Conference that according to Chapter 33, Surah Al Ahzab, Verse 50, it is prohibited (Haram) for Muslims to marry daughters of their paternal uncles, daughters of their paternal aunts, daughters of their maternal uncles and daughters of their maternal aunts (cousin sisters).

This is the only single formula to convert our downfall situation into a rising one. I have given this in writing to keep on record.

How secretive and shabby the Americans are

Bob Ellis
There was no rejoicing in Times Square when Hirohito died, though he ordered the killing of 2350 Americans in Pearl Harbor. I remember no such gladness when Hitler died, or Ho Chi Minh, or Mao Tse Tung. Or Che Guevara. Or Salvador Allende. Or Joseph Stalin.

President Barack Obama receives an update on the mission against Osama bin LadenThese laughing, flag-waving, crowded scenes outside the White House and across America have no precedent (except,  perhaps, in the South when Lincoln was shot) and it is to be wondered why they occurred.

There was a magical-realist quality to Osama Bin Laden. He looked like the risen Christ, and was often thought dead and came always back to life. His broadcasts needed always to be authenticated because the CIA wanted him dead. He’d humiliated them so enormously they kept saying he was dead. He was ‘on dialysis’, they asserted, wrongly; he had to be dead by now. 9/11 was so clever. He had to be dead.

And once again they are covering up, and in denial.

As with John F Kennedy, whose brain was stolen, his car washed of its blood, film of his autopsy made to vanish, his alleged assassin murdered and that assassin’s evidence unrecorded, burnt or discarded, we have here, now,  a significant body, the corpse of the world’s most wanted man, ‘buried at sea’. Why do this? Why even think of it, when identifying him forensically was critical to the peace of the Arab and Muslim world?

Uday and Qusay weren’t buried at sea, nor the twenty-four-hour burial rule applied to these two cosmeticked enemy stiffs.  Saddam was helicoptered home to his tribal city (by Mike Kelly MP and Minister for Cheese) for interment in his clan’s sacred ground. Why treat Osama any differently? Why put his body where it couldn’t be checked over? Why not have an autopsy? Why not give their most famous son back to the rich Bin Laden family, and see them set him down in their family plot? What right do Americans have to a fallen enemy’s corpse? Where did that new rule come from? How dare they?

Clearly they feared the sight of his widow, wounded in the fire-fight, at the graveside of him and his dead son, and the sight of his grieving daughter and his other sons would humanise him in an inconvenient way. Clearly they feared his grave would become, like that of Karl Marx or St Thomas a Beckett,  a pilgrim shrine for apostles yet unborn.

But there were other, forensic reasons too.

A coronial enquiry, with witnesses, would show if women were fired upon, or children. It would show if Bin Laden took his own life, as Allende did, it seems, or if his bodyguard, sworn to kill him in such a circumstance, shot him as well, in the back, perhaps.

It would show if he had his hands up, and he was therefore killed against the rules of war, or if his wife said, ‘Please, no.’  It would also get from his wife and daughter evidence of who had lodged them in their splendid quarters, who paid the bills, who took the children to the local school, and what Mushareff knew, and what Azari knew, and indeed what Benazir Bhutto knew, of his five-year stay, if that is how long it was, only three minutes’ walk from an army academy, the West Point of Pakistan.

How shabby the Americans are. How secretive and stupid.

One thinks of the 600 plots to kill Castro: the poisoned face cream, the poisoned wetsuit, the exploding cigars, the former girlfriend who, after sex, couldn’t do it, even when he offered his gun. How low grade they are. How creepy. How overpaid for their shoddy scheming and their bungled midnight raids.

And Osama Bin Laden was buried at sea. Full fathom five thy father lies. Of his bones are coral made. Those are pearls that were his eyes. Imagine Hitler, buried at sea. Or Trotsky. How stupid can they be?

For there is no end to it now. As with Elvis, his voice, his image will recur on websites for fifty years. Was it him? Did he survive? Is he still alive? He must be. He must be. His widow will charge his American assassins with war crimes for killing and wounding civilians:  her son, herself, her daughter. His family will spend millions cleansing his name. The Sunni clergy will denounce the blasphemous travesty of his last rites, not on family ground but the cruel sea.

Karzai will demand compensation for the towns destroyed in America’s vain search for him, in the wrong country. The Saudi royals will be shown to have given him money and Bush to have known this while his father took fees from them. A good few Pakistani colonels will be tortured and shot. The Navy Seals that shot him (in the face, not the legs) will get jobs on Fox News. The Taliban will seize Pakistan and its WMD. And his legend, like Che’s, will grow luminous, and more and more twelve-year-old suicide bombers go into supermarkets whispering his name.

And all they had to do was keep the body, film its autopsy, open it to media view and give it back, in due season, to his family for a proper Sunni funeral, as they did Saddam and Uday and Qusay, in the green, green grass of home.

What klutzes they are. And how dearly we all must pay for their clumsiness, in a rejuvenated al-Qaeda and acts of terror without end, in this country too. And an atomic war, perhaps.

And it’s a pity.

PS. Osama was unarmed, we now are told, but he ‘resisted’ and so was shot ‘above the left eye’ and ‘part of his brain was blown away’. This, and other details, might explain why Barack Obama spent so long rewriting his speech, his worst thus far on a great specific occasion, and why he seemed uneasy giving it. What, we may ask, is he now to say of a murder committed by uninvited American troops on foreign soil, illegally?

And what is he to do with an illegally kidnapped widow, daughter and sons, and their ongoing education in Abbottobad?

And, indeed, with the question, why are we in Afghanistan?

And with the further, larger question, why, if Osama Bin Laden was for five years in Pakistan, and Pakistan’s rulers knew of it, we are not making war on Pakistan today? In reprisal? As we did  on Afghanistan?

Why are we in Afghanistan, by the way?

Is there any reason left?

What Osama Bin Laden Means to Different People !

With the news of end of Osama, people have been giving different types of responses, some amusing, some really thoughtful while some childish. I have my own selection of some striking responses that i have come across. Here are a few of them:

To the US Army: It means no Visa required to enter any part of Pakistan and kill any one.

To the Pakistani people : No place is safe in Pakistan any more

To the Al Qa'eeda : Who will be the next bin Laden, because the battle is lost yet the war continues....

To the Hollywood : A new subject theme for Rambos, James Bond, Spider man, Bat man, ......

For the Media: Who will give us more TRPs and Readerships now!

To the American President Obama: An opportunity to be reelected in the Whilte House

To the Future American Presidents to be: Laden is dead, so lets us find a new villian to fight

To the American Citizens : Now who will be the next ghost that the Goverment will use to frighten us when ever and election is around the corner?

To the American Government: Phew ! a very expensive enemy. 1.4 Trillions of $ US of expendtiure,24 thousand of dead soldiers, 56 thousand  handicapped and injred soldiers and 1.5 Trillions dollars of debt.

To the US soldiers : Can we go home now?

To the Mujahideen :  No you cannot go back home now.The battle maybe lost  but the war still  continues....

Death of Usamah Bin Laden: Freedom Fighter or Terrorist?

The reaction says it all, there is celebration in the streets of New York, whilst silence in the streets of the Islamic world; freedom fighter or terrorist depends on whose perspective. There is no doubt many in the Islamic world and the non-Islamic world (e.g. Latin America), are privately mourning the death of Usamah Bin Laden, seen as a symbol of resistance to Western imperialism. Unlike Saddam Hussein and his ilk, Usamah Bin Laden died fighting like a Mujahid, as the old proverb says, he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.

It is disgusting the way the media constantly highlights the 3000 that perished in 9/11, as if the American and western lives are more valuable than others. The message construed is simple, its Bin Laden and 9/11, there are no other casualties and no other factors. Indeed, the entire narrative is false. They say 9/11 marks the beginning of the conflict, whereas the conflict started from the end of the First World War; the Arabs seeking independence were betrayed (Sykes-Picot treaty) for their support to the Allied forces. Their lands were carved up to suit the interests of the colonialists, who facilitated the migration of the Zionists to Palestine, paving the way for the creation of Israel. Eventually, the Arabs were ‘rewarded’ with Israel and the Palestinian Diaspora (nakba), for their cooperation and service to the colonialists.

What is even more absurd about the simple narrative of Bin Laden and 9/11 is that America is portrayed as the victim. Just the thought makes you laugh, it’s like you have to imagine the US Soldiers dressed as benign priests, rather than killing Iraqis for fun, as the numerous clips leaked on the internet with the awful images of Abu-Ghraib confirms!

Prior to 9/11, 500,000 Iraqi children were killed through barbaric sanctions, and post 9/11 almost a million innocent Iraqis died for those mythical WMDs! To date, nobody has been bought to account for the illegal war built on lies. The losses of innocence are conveniently classed as collateral damage that can be swept under the carpet like dirt! Has anyone been bought to trial for the carnage in Gaza, when the Israelis unleashed disproportionate force on the civilian population, a clear act of state-terrorism?

It is simplistic to call Usamah Bin Laden a terrorist, when his opponent has murdered much more civilians in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan, that pre-dates 9/11. Likewise, to call Usamah a religious fanatic is hypocritical, when George Bush is the one claimed to be talking to God who allegedly inspired him to launch the war on the innocent people of Iraq. It is ironic that the Christian God of ‘love’ would order one to wage to war, rather than to turn the other cheek!

Regardless if you agree with the methods used by Usamah and his men, as an individual he outdid his opponents. He was far more eloquent than George Bush, a semi-literate guy with a drink problem, who often embarrassed the US by his numerous idiotic statements. Usamah also had far more integrity than Tony Blair, unlike Blair he never lied and was generous with his wealth, constantly helping the needy, Jason Burke elaborates on this in his book, Al-Qaeda. Whereas it took a lot of media pressure for Tony Blair (who did so well out of the Iraq war), to make some nominal contribution to the British soldiers who suffered losses.

The most important question is – did Usamah succeed to any level or was he a total failure. This depends on how you define success and failure, but we can avoid the debate, by looking at his main objectives. First was to create the ArabicNahda (revival), this never materialised; despite the war waged over Iraq and the revelations of the gruesome events of Abu-Ghraib, the masses in the Arab/Islamic world did not revolt. In fact, the only uprisings we have seen are the recent revolutions sweeping through the Arab world, where the call is unanimous for a democratic government that is free from corruption and nepotism. The masses want secular freedom and democracy, rather than a Caliphate or an Islamic Emirate, they are no longer burning the American flags and chanting anti-Western slogans, they have come to realise that they need to take responsibility and clean their homes.

Secondly, Usamah failed to topple a single regime in the Arab/Islamic world. This is largely because he misread the situation, whilst many sympathise with his grievances, but do not support the creation of an Islamic State or an Islamic Emirate. It means one has to engage the masses in the Arab world politically to make the case for an Islamic State, how such a state can overcome the numerous issues that divide the Arab and Islamic world, and bring about unity. Thus, instead of waging wars on the West, they should have focused on building a stable prosperous Afghanistan based on the Sharia model that could act as a shining example. They could have shown how the various tribes of Afghanistan unified, overcoming their historical animosity; this would have had greater resonance in the Arab and Islamic world. However, the Taliban remained largely Pashtun based, and the Arabs remained as their guests, despite professing unity based on the Islamic laws and values.

Obama kills TRUTH with Osama

By Ghulam Muhammed

In the age of Media overkill, the most gruesome casualty is truth. It dies thousand deaths every second. While Obama delayed his East Room press conference to officially announce the official death of America’s enemy number ONE: the demonic figure of Saudi Arabian national, Osama Bin Laden, the conspiracy theorists were busy making their own theories about how the whole incident could be conjectured. The following are two of the theories; all have some part which is logical, rational and/or factual :

1. Obama may still be alive and Obama have found it convenient to declare him officially dead; so he can whip up hysteria in the anticipation of coming US presidential elections. The entire drama can be stage-managed from full cooperation with the willing ally, Pakistan and its intelligence agencies working with CIA. Though it is put out that Obama’s dead body is in the possession of the US agencies, CIA is expert enough to bring in any dead body from any selected morgue, dress it up as Osama, organize photo sessions, doctor the pictures and videos in convincing the gullible world that Osama is finally, certainly and verifiably dead.

2. Osama being on dialysis, it is quite possible that he might have died of natural causes long back, as medical facilities in the caves of Afghanistan and Pakistan mountain ranges can hardly be efficient enough to sustain a fragile skeleton for so many long years in wilderness. Osama alive was America’s own need to keep using his doctored speeches released on CNN and world electronic media at convenient time, to whip up American people’s emotions so that defence projects and forays could be smoothly sanctioned. Osama alive rather than dead, was hundred times most precious for the US administration to rob billions from American people and from the world creditors, citing the ‘noble’ services that American defense and intelligence agencies were providing to America and the rest of the ‘free world’ to insulate them from the world’s most dangerous terrorist.

With American Presidential electioneering days piling up on his head, and his Republican adversaries hounding him over his lukewarm responses to world revolutions, that is threatening the peace and progress of the world, Obama and his party must have realized that a graphic killing of Osama, with gory details plastering world media’s pages and screen, will be the best way to turn the tide and pave the way to smoother re-election for the second term in White House.

The propaganda blitz that the US and its allies will be mounting over the death of Osama, would carry the entire West over a wave of triumphalism, while covering up its defeat and retreat from Iraq, Afghanistan and the potentially more demanding participation in the Middle East and North African war campaigns. Obama wants to play a double game of appeasing his own party’s anti-war constituency and the Muslim world into accepting him as a man of peace on one hand; while on the other hand getting his Jewish allies to vent their own frustrations by organized limited military operations around the Arab world and Africa.

While Obama was delivering his Historical speech at White House press briefing, perfectly timed to get the world headlines next day, his picking of so many threads of narrative to soften up diverse and different constituents, had enough material woven into the scenario, that not all that was contained was fully, totally, uncontradictably swallowed by his own national audience, much less by the people of the world at large.
